IT Depot has an opportunity for an experienced ServiceNow Developer – ITSM / Integration Lead to support enterprise workflow modernization and ServiceNow platform expansion for the U.S. Navy at Naval Base San Diego. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role for a developer with strong ITSM, integration, automation, security, and platform architecture experience—not a junior administrator or configuration-only position. The successful candidate will work directly with Navy stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain ServiceNow solutions while helping government personnel strengthen their internal ServiceNow capability.

Job Description
– Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and sustain enterprise ServiceNow solutions supporting Navy business and operational workflows.
– Lead ServiceNow ITSM and integration development activities, including Service Catalog, Flow Designer, forms, UI policies, Business Rules, and workflow automation.
– Develop and support REST and SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.
– Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support MID Servers and related integration components.
– Develop ServiceNow functionality and platform customizations using JavaScript.
– Support SSO, IAM, RBAC, CAC, MFA, ACLs, hierarchical data visibility, and other platform security controls.
– Apply secure application development practices consistent with Navy and DoD cybersecurity requirements, including PII protection.
– Participate in platform architecture, technical design reviews, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production sustainment.
– Conduct requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, process workshops, and gap analyses; translate needs into user stories and technical solutions.
– Support legacy application and workflow modernization efforts where required.
– Develop technical documentation and clearly communicate recommendations to Navy stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
– Provide training, mentoring, architecture walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer to government personnel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience.
– Minimum of 3 years of direct, hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
– Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
– Active ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
– ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in a core workflow area, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
– Active IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, or another qualifying certification.
– Active or eligible Top Secret clearance and eligibility for access to Naval Base San Diego.
– Willing and able to work full-time on-site in San Diego, California.
– Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in sprint planning, standups, demos, and technical reviews.
– Strong customer-facing communication, requirements-gathering, and stakeholder engagement skills.
– Ability to comply with applicable Navy and DoD cybersecurity workforce requirements.
Role-Specific Technical Expertise
– ServiceNow ITSM and Service Catalog development.
– Flow Designer and workflow automation.
– REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server deployments.
– JavaScript development within ServiceNow.
– SSO, IAM, RBAC, ACLs, and secure platform architecture.
– Testing, deployment, sustainment, and ServiceNow development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or other federal customers.
– Experience implementing CAC authentication, MFA, field-level security, form-level security, and PII protection controls.
– Legacy application modernization or business process migration experience.
– Oracle APEX migration or modernization experience.
– Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, UAT, and production cutover.
– Experience conducting technical design reviews and architecture walkthroughs.
Training and Knowledge Transfer
The customer expects the development team to help government personnel build sustainable ServiceNow capability. The successful candidate should be comfortable providing application administration and configuration training, workflow demonstrations, technical documentation, mentoring, architecture walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer sessions.
